The people: Me- Rebecca and Dan and our daughter, 4 years old.
I am currently a stay at home Mom, with a few side projects, and Dan has his own business he runs mostly from his shop.
He runs a business providing outdoor programs for children and adults.
Us: I cook meals most nights of the week, and we are in bed by 9 pm.
Personal interests include cooking, food projects, herbalism, gardening, farmer's market, reading books with my kid as well as sewing, hiking, biking, camping.
I am sensitive to most scented consumer products and prefer to limit their use in the house.
We like to host potlucks and have friends over for dinner from time to time.
You: Some musts are: love young kids, and understand what living with a young child is like- ex.
she might be excited to see you / interact with you, sometimes a little noisy and may be interruptions (she is generally very sweet).
Appreciate a relatively clean home, and realize it won't always be perfectly clean.
Work from home situations are not a good fit.
Someone who wants some interaction and doesn’t stay in their room all the time.
And, your privacy and need for alone time will/would be respected.
We request 2 references from current or previous roommates or landlords.
Critical that we find someone who will do well living with a young child, and so people who smoke, drink/pot use, or party wouldn’t be a good match.
Dogs are a possibility.
Pay rent & bills on time, clean up after oneself - we love to be as tidy as we can.
The house:
We have one bedroom available in a 3 bedroom house, 1400 sq foot house on one acre on a quiet dead end street in South Corvallis near Tried and True Coffee Shop, First Alternative Food Co-op, & within easy walking/biking distance of Avery Park, Downtown and Lincoln Elementary School.
It's a sunny bedroom, adjacent to the one shared bathroom.
It has a large closet and built-in dresser.
We have a washer/dryer.
We share the rest of the house- one full bathroom, with a bathtub, kitchen, and the large living room, dining room area.
There isn't much storage inside the house, and the shared areas are furnished, so not having too much stuff is a plus.
Rent: $825/mo.
Plus Utilities: Natural gas (varies during the year between $13 in summer to $75 in winter) and wifi is $23/mo.
per person (water, electric, garbage is included in rent) Deposit: $825 (plus a $250 non-refundable deposit for a dog.

Lease Term: it would be ideal to commit to a year, we could discuss other options.
