Whiskey is a sweet girl who is very loyal.
She loves to greet you with a meow when you come home from work and a good pet before she's off to do whatever cats do.
Don't worry though, she will be back to check on you from time to time to see what you're up to and to make sure the house is running as it should.
Whiskey loves to sleep next to her person but she also enjoys lounging at the foot of the bed or on her cat stand.
She is a big fan of naps and takes them very seriously.
She absolutely adores her cat stand and loves to scratch it and sleep on the top perch where she can look down on everybody as the queen of her castle.
Whiskey gets along with dogs of various sizes but she thinks very lowly of the species and generally ignores them.
However, Whiskey is very jealous of other cats and as her owner you will be forbidden to touch any other feline without serious scolding from Whiskey.
She likes to be the ONLY feline in your life (I did say she was very loyal).
Whiskey is not big on meowing for long or making lots of noise.
She likes to roam around the house in stealth mode so a collar with a bell comes in handy when trying to find her.
Whiskey knows her name but chooses when or if she will respond when called.
However, her humans know of her love for food so if she hears a kibble fall to the floor she will appear before you can blink.
Food must be contained and put somewhere she cannot get it because Whiskey's love of food is intense.
She will eat any and all kibble she can get her hands on.
In the past, she has had a weight problem so her humans bought an automatic feeder which distributes her daily food into three feedings.
The feeder will join her in her new home.
Whisky is being rehomed because her owners have welcomed a new baby which has caused Whiskey lots of stress.
Whiskey does not do well with crying babies or visitors to the house.
Both make her terrified and cause her to hide in the closet or under the covers for hours on end.
Because she cannot tolerate the baby, it has been hard to give her the love she needs.
Whiskey needs a new home that is free of babies or toddlers.
Young children who know how to properly pet and interact with a cat are fine (she does well with our nephew).
Whiskey would do well in a house with people who don't have many visitors and who have a predictable routine.
It takes time for Whiskey to warm up to new people but once she does, you have the most loyal cat someone could hope for.
