1925 Vega Soloist Plectrum 4 string Banjo.
SN 82266 22 fret, 8.
4 Lbs.
With Original Case in Very Good condition.
Honduran Mahogany neck, Maple Resonator and pot.
Gold plated Clamshell Tailpiece.
Nickel Planetary Tuners, Nickel Vega Armrest.
The Soloist was started in 1925 and is one step above the Professional model and one step below the Artist and was a combination of Gold, Nickel and Brass hardware.
Gold tension hoop, hooks and lugs, Nickel plate bands on pot, Nickel Tubaphone tone ring in very good condition.
Brass resonator flanges of an alloy that matched the gold finish.
Very straight neck and good frets, Was re-fretted some years ago.
All Inlays are excellent.
low action with 1/2" bridge.
Recent Clear head, 10 15/16 Medium Crown.
Has normal wear and tear with a few marks here and there, but in overall VG condition.
Wear on some of the plating.
No nicks or gouges in neck or Resonator.
Looks very nice but you can see some little flaws when looking closely.
All banding is good.
A very good condition
banjo that has been cleaned up but not restored.
A great player.
