This 4/4 violin is a professional grade instrument suitable for classical, Celtic, and traditional or contemporary American music.
It was made in Bubeureuth-Erlangen, West Germany in 1962 and is a copy of the 1736 Guarneri del Gesu violin.
The top is tight grained Italian spruce with beautifully finished F holes.
The sides and back are highly flamed maple.
The finish is oil-based varnish and beautiful.
The violin has superb low action and is in excellent, undamaged condition.
It has a full, rich voice with bright overtones.
It is a wonderful instrument.
Three bows are included in this offering.
They are (1) a Pernambuco Brazilian bow made by V.
Schaeffer, (2) a French Pernambuco bow by V.
J.
Ferelli, and (3) an inexpensive carbon fiber bow.
Also included is a Kun shoulder rest, rosin and other incidental items.
The violin along with the bows, etc.
are kept securely in a humidity controlled Bobe Lock case.
This instrument is suitable for an upper-level intermediate or advanced player.
