50 (Portland Metro) Position Summary This recruitment will be used to fill one part-time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) Student Aquarist position for the Hatfield Marine Science Center at Oregon State University (OSU).
These student positions support the animal husbandry team of the Aquatic Animal Health Program (AAHP) at Hatfield Marine Science Center.
While each student will be assigned a primary area of responsibility, they will be trained to work in all areas managed by the AAHP.
Each will work under the supervision of professional aquarists and assist them with all aspects of aquatic animal husbandry.
Position Duties Position Duties (list of duties with percentages): Cleaning systems and life support 40% Feeding animals 20% Conducting system checks 10% Culturing live foods 10% Cleaning/sanitizing tools 10% Building/modifying systems 5% Performing medical treatments 5% Minimum Qualifications Full Employment Eligibility Requirements can be found here: https://fa.
