Manage the county helpdesk and provide training and support for County computer users.

Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities JOB FUNCTIONS Provide helpdesk support for computer-related trouble calls: In conjunction with Systems Administrator and Computer Services Technician, tests and installs hardware and software.
Perform upgrades to PC workstation hardware and software.
Coordinate, schedule, and conduct computer-related training sessions: Train on use of software.
Train on general computer use.
Selected server backups and restoration: Work with other staff to backup and secure AIX systems.
Maintain IT technical documentation: Develop documentation.
Develop end user documentation and help files.
Help office organize and document office and technical supplies or equipment.
Purchase and invoice computer related equipment.
Typical Qualifications Minimum Education Level High School Diploma / GED Minimum Experience Level One year (if in specific skills/fields, list below) Specifics: Customer service experience with basic knowledge of computer systems, cell phones, and networking.
Substitution Note: Any combination of education, experience, and training which provides the required knowledge, skill and abilities.
Driver’s License Oregon Driver's License required Knowledge of: Considerable knowledge of Windows-based operating systems and applications.
Skill or ability to: Troubleshooting and resolving computer hardware and software problems.
Maintain accuracy and close attention to detail.
Physical capability to handle high mobility demands and complex personal interactions, and to be mobile with respect to servicing equipment.
Coordinate diverse activities.
Gather and organize data.
Maintain confidentiality.
Make formal presentations and provide training to individuals and groups.
Convey information, ideas, and facts both orally and in writing to supervisors, colleagues, and individuals, inside and outside the county, using language and a format the audience will best understand.

Job Conditions and Physical Demands WORKING CONDITIONS Job Conditions: Typical office environment.
Work Location: Lincoln County Travel: Must use personal vehicle to be able to drive to remote county offices and buildings.
