Facilitating and identifying aspects or areas to enhance network activities among partner organizations and ensuring cultural sensitivity, equity, and access to care across the three counties.
Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities Partnership collaboration function: Mobilize partners and build community capacity to address STI disparities, engaging diverse community partners to identify societal issues contributing to disparities in the Linn, Benton, Lincoln counties.
Identify and coordinate STI prevention resources among community partners within the region and among community partners.
Convene a regional STI taskforce consisting of key agencies and collaborative community partners.
Collaborate with regional partners, raise awareness of STI/HIV prevention and testing services, identify and address barriers to testing, coordinate outreach activities and facilitate and coordinate referrals.
Coordination functions: Foster coordination between key community partners to maximize collaboration and systems change.
Facilitate and coordinate referrals for testing and treatment as support to Disease Intervention Specialists (DIS) in the region.
Expand existing prevention resources and services, focusing on increasing access to high-quality STI screening and treatment options.
Administrative functions: Collect and manage documentation (e.
g.
, guidance documents, resources, and trainings related to focus populations).
Disseminate updated CDC guidelines about STI screening and treatment standards.
Ensure availability of culturally, linguistically, and literacy appropriate education and communication materials for regional partners and focus populations.
Conduct program evaluation and continuous quality improvement efforts.
Utilize data, feedback, and performance indicators for ongoing improvement.
Other functions: Participate in Oregon Health Authority Communicable Disease and STI/HIV webinars and trainings.
Provide surge capacity support for STI case investigations and outbreak response.
Typical Qualifications Minimum Education Level Bachelors Specifics: Public Health, communicable disease prevention and control, infection prevention and/or related field.
Minimum Experience Level One year Specifics: In one of the following areas: community organizing, HIV and STI prevention, and/or data management.
Substitution Note: 5 or more years’ experience conducting outreach, community organization, or community health may substitute for minimum education level.
Driver’s License Oregon Driver's License required Specifics: Must obtain within 30 days of employment.
Desirable Qualifications: Bilingual and/or bicultural competencies for the Latino population are preferred.
Knowledge of: Community engagement.
Familiarity with communicable disease infections and their health effects, modes of transmission, prevention, treatment and effect on families and social institutions.
State and Local policies, procedures, methods, and techniques specific to infectious disease control, prevention, and public health.
Computer tools and software such as Microsoft Power Point and Word.
Skill or ability to: Establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, clients, and the public.
Coordinate interdisciplinary partners towards the improvement of HIV and STD health outcomes.
Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing Work independently and collaboratively.

Job Conditions and Physical Demands WORKING CONDITIONS Job Conditions: This position primarily works some combination of hours Monday through Friday with the possibility of hours in the evening or on weekends.
Work Location: Benton, Linn, and Lincoln Counties.
Travel: Travel within Benton, Linn, and Lincoln Counties will be required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands are typical of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
