JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
Performs surgery scheduling duties, as well as prior authorization, coding and general office duties.
DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
SHS Orthopedic Surgeons offer specialized trauma care for a variety of fractures, casting, surgery, and splinting.
We also offer joint replacement, foot and ankle care, carpal tunnel surgery, and injections as well as fracture care.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Post-secondary courses in Medical Terminology, computer applications and secretarial skills, or equivalent required.
Experience and/or training in a hospital or medical office doing similar tasks preferred.
Experience and/or training in reception or a customer service setting required.
Experience and/or training with delegated health care services and ICD-10 and CPT coding required.
