Job Title: Behavioral Health Care Social Worker
Job Summary:
The Behavioral Health Care Social Worker is responsible for providing comprehensive support and counseling services to individuals experiencing behavioral health issues.
This role combines clinical expertise, case management, and advocacy to address the emotional and social well-being of clients.
The Social Worker collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to offer personalized treatment plans and facilitate positive change within the community.
Responsibilities and Duties:

Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate clients' mental health needs and identify underlying factors affecting their well-being.
2.
Develop and implement individual treatment plans tailored to clients' specific behavioral health requirements.
3.
Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions and counseling services to individuals, families, or groups, using various approaches such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and motivational interviewing.
4.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, and physicians, to ensure comprehensive care and effective treatment outcomes.
5.
Engage in crisis intervention and risk assessment, promptly intervening in situations that require immediate attention.

Advocate for clients' rights and social services, assisting them in accessing necessary resources within the community.
7.
Foster and maintain strong relationships with community organizations, support groups, and relevant agencies to facilitate referrals and enhance clients' support networks.
8.
Conduct regular follow-ups and reassessments to monitor clients' progress and modify treatment plans as necessary.
9.
Maintain accurate and confidential client records, ensuring compliance with ethical standards and legal regulations.
10.
Stay updated on current research, theories, and best practices in the field of behavioral health care.
11.
Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and trainings to promote collaborative care and professional growth.
12.
Provide culturally sensitive and trauma-informed care, recognizing and addressing the impact of social and cultural factors on clients' well-being.
13.
Contribute to program development and quality improvement initiatives, assisting in the implementation of evidence-based policies and procedures.
14.
Adhere to ethical guidelines and professional standards set forth by relevant licensure bodies.
Qualifications and Skills:
1.
Master's degree in Social Work or closely related field from an accredited institution.
2.
Current licensure as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or eligibility to obtain the license.
3.
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in behavioral health care, preferably in a clinical setting.
4.
Extensive knowledge of mental health diagnoses, treatment modalities, and best practices.
5.
Strong interpersonal communication and active listening skills.
6.
Ability to work effectively in interdisciplinary teams and collaborate with a diverse range of professionals and stakeholders.
7.
Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
8.
Proficiency in clinical assessment and diagnosis.
