The role of the Engineering Designer is to provide design and management to various aspects of transportation-related projects.
Other duties may include:
Coordinate projects with supervisor, project managers, and firm staff.
Provide sketches and/or detailed layout information to design staff for incorporation into the construction drawings.
Design, prepare and analyze preliminary and final plans in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microstation/InRoads (Open Roads Designer) software.
Analyze maps, reports, drawings, as-builts and test results for design projects.
Preparation and modification of reports, specifications, estimates, and designs for projects.
Provide project-specific technical information to the Project Manager for incorporation into the project specifications.
Basic Qualifications:
0 to 3 years design experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Construction Engineering
Ability to read and comprehend instructions as well as possess good verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Microstation / InRoads experience
Previous experience working on transportation related projects.
Engineer-In-Training Certification
