Position Description: UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY! This position, made possible by a partnership between our clinic and the local school district, is a combination of mental health counseling with students at Albany Options School and therapy at our clinic with other types of clients.
Be part of a team of professional therapists who help clients heal and grow into more mentally and emotionally healthy individuals.
Responsible for providing counseling/psychotherapy to clients through standard, evidence-based therapeutic practices.
This position reports to the Clinical Director and Practice Manager.
Responsibilities & Duties Direct Client Contact Offer professional counseling services to individuals with mild-to-moderate mental health conditions.
Option of working with couples and/or families Complete a comprehensive assessment and develop a diagnosis and treatment plan for each client Conduct individual counseling sessions with scheduled clients using professional counseling standards in accordance with individual treatment plans Document treatment plans, counseling sessions, assessments and interventions according to professional counseling documentation standards Help keep your caseload full by communicating your available openings to the Intake Coordinator weekly Be professional and courteous in all written and verbal communications with clients, colleagues and other business associates Follow legal, ethical and professional obligations of your respective Oregon governing Board School-Based Work Provide counseling services with students with pervasive mental health struggles Occasionally lead groups on subjects such as anxiety and anger management Give classroom presentations on the mental health field or mental health topics relevant to youth Consult with school staff on suicide assessments School caseload is 6-8 students per day with a reduced caseload during the summer Meetings, Trainings and Other Attend staff meetings as scheduled, typically once a quarter Encourage other North Albany Wellness Center counselors and staff Pursue continuing education within and outside the clinic for professional growth Participate in monthly case consultation with a supervisor Qualifications Masters Degree in Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, Psychology, Clinical Social Work or related field of study Hold a license as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to practice in Oreg, or.

be registered with the Oregon Board (OBLPCT) as a Professional Counselor Associate, Marriage and Family Therapist Associate or registered with Oregon Board of Licensed Social workers as a Clinical Social Worker Associate (CSWA).
Comfortable working with teens and adults in providing trauma informed care Experience working with, or a strong interest in working with teens and families Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Bilingual in Spanish or other language is a bonus Work as an effective team member yet be independent as necessary.
Exercise sound judgment and initiative Comfortable with computers and web-based apps.
We use SimplePractice for our EHR and Google Workspaces for office productivity Experience writing comprehensive case assessments that include a diagnosis and treatment plan in a timely manner Minimum one (1) years of post-graduate experience as a therapist Compensation & Benefits Hourly rate of pay is commensurate with experience, $48-$52 per hour for licensed.
Associates will be considered for the position with a pay rate of $38-$42 per hour 28-40 hours per week (flexible) Professional consultation/supervision Professional training in trauma informed care Paid time to write notes Group Professional Liability Insurance Group Health Insurance Plan.
