Assistant Manager/Ambulatory Surgery

*JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE - *Provides and assures quality care for patients of all ages, including neonatal through geriatrics.
Under the direction of the Nurse Manager, provides effective management and support for employees.
*DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION - *Ambulatory Surgery provides pre, intra and post op care to surgical and procedural sedation patients.
We provide service for the patient population of pediatrics, adolescents, adult and elderly patients.
We work with a variety of provider specialties in caring for people going home that day or are being admitted to the hospital.
SLCH includes Endoscopy and non-surgical procedures completed in the SDC unit.
*EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS - *Current unencumbered Oregon RN License required.
BSN preferred.
One (1) year RN experience required.
Healthcare Provider BLS required.
Other certifications may be required for department specific positions.
Successful completion of management courses/education program preferred.
*KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES - *Social Perceptiveness: Ability to work with a diverse population from pediatrics to geriatrics.
Basic understanding of age-related differences in caring for and/or communicating with patients and caregivers.

Adaptability/Flexibility: Ability to respond quickly and appropriately to situations that may arise with high risk or diverse patient populations.

Delegates and initiates/manages cross-functional teams and multi-disciplinary projects.
