*Specific Responsibilities & Essential Job Functions * * Obtain the specified coating as directed or as required by project specification.
* Verify and record the surface cleanliness condition of the part to be coated.
* Verify and record the climatic conditions prior to mixing coatings.
* Report any variance from scheduled work to supervision for instructions.
* Mix coatings as directed by manufacturer’s instructions and record missing and application times.
* Perform visual inspection of mixed coatings product for smooth and consistent texture.
* Apply coatings evenly and thoroughly across the part, obtaining ‘wet-film’ thickness reading as directed to retain * ‘dry-film’ coverage as required once the coating has ‘cured’.
* Maintain all equipment related to mixing and application by cleaning at appropriate times with appropriate materials.
Care of hoses, guns, pumps, and tools is essential.
* Record all coating information as required by company procedure.
* Assist in the training of other staff.
*Qualifications * * High School Diploma or equivalent.
* Must be able to read and interpret shop drawings and utilize a tape measure.
* Trained in working knowledge of liquid measurements.
* Function effectively as part of a team and adapt to different environments.

Some climbing, standing, stooping, and kneeling required.

* Hours outside of scheduled shift will be necessary as workload dictates.
This may include weekends.
* Job will generally be performed in a paint shop and around a variety of machines and equipment, with potential exposure to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration.
