Germane & Wise Mental Health is recruiting Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners to work in Integrated Behavioral Health in primary care offices.
* Work with a carefully trained Psychiatric Assistant, the on-the-ground person who will do initial data gathering, perform follow up outcome measures, track patient progress, ensure the patient is scheduled for return visits and calls, and juggle the day-to-day “minor emergencies” _so you don’t have to_.
* You will review charts and make treatment recommendations while still retaining the option to see some patients in person.
* Teach and collaborate with primary care doctors around effective treatment of mental illness.
* Help diminish the stigma that patients experience and naïve providers perpetuate by integrating as part of the care team.

Primary Care Psychiatric Collaboration is one way to reach more people when their symptoms are less severe, thereby preventing the emotional damage of untreated, worsening illness on the patient and those around them.
Duties:
- Review detailed intakes and charts and develop care plans for patients with psychiatric disorders
- supervise psychiatric assistants in clinical interactions with patients
- Collaborate with primary care provider and interdisciplinary team members to provide comprehensive care
- Utilize evidence-based standards to ensure quality care
- Provide education to primary care providers regarding mental health conditions and treatment options
-Be available by phone to answer questions and support primary care providers in their treatment of patients with mental illness
Experience:
- Must have a valid Advanced Practice Nursing license with a specialization in psychiatry
- Must have a clean record with the nursing board
