The Oregon State University Honors College (HC) is a degree granting college within Oregon State University (OSU).
The overall mission of the college is to provide an innovative, enriched learning experience to more than 2000 undergraduates, integrating students from all academic colleges into a cohesive community.
The college supports OSU’s strategic initiatives; advances equity, inclusion, and diversity; and provides employees with resources to meet the college’s strategic priorities, while also supporting employee professional development and growth.
This position is responsible for the development, management and implementation of engagement and co-curricular student programming with a focus on prospective, newly-admitted and first-year HC students.
The Honors College student engagement and recruitment coordinator oversees recruitment, admissions and onboarding activities in the college, ensuring alignment with community values and strategic priorities and is responsible for the creation of new programming and program assessment and success.
This position serves as a key partner with University Housing and Dining to create a vibrant Honors College living-learning community and residential experience.
The student engagement and recruitment coordinator also plays a central role in cultivating student leadership and engagement in the college, working with professional and student staff, and serves as a representative of the college at recruitment and engagement events.
