The Enterprise Architecture team facilitates the digital transformation of Oregon State University by delivering actionable IT architecture recommendations to the CIO Executive Team, helping develop enterprise standards, and working with the business to understand and document processes and requirements with a business first focus.
The enterprise architects are empowered to drive enterprise change to deliver high-impact value and lead OSU IT in a fast changing and competitive environment.
Under the guidance of the Enterprise IT Architect and working as a member of the Enterprise Architecture (EA) Team, the Enterprise Review and Practice Architect is responsible for managing the process for the development and review of enterprise architectural standards, laying the groundwork for delivering business outcomes through an agile enterprise IT architecture that also meets security, resilience, and compliance requirements.
They anchor architectural standards in a review process that engages stakeholders in the development and adoption of OSU’s enterprise IT architecture.
Through this approach, they enable OSU IT, the combination of central and distributed IT, to align technology choices use and implementations with OSU IT strategy and enterprise IT architecture, resulting in the ability to respond effectively and efficiently to disruptive forces while achieving the goals of the university’s strategic plan and its strategic plans and roadmaps for IT.
This role helps to oversee the enterprise IT architecture by managing the Enterprise Review Board to ensure the strategic data, technical, security, business and innovation programs are founded on enterprise standards when implemented.
This role works closely with the principal Enterprise Architect and domain architects across OSU IT to understand OSU strategies so that they can help define and implement enterprise architectural solutions within the standards expected by OSU IT.
This role collaborates closely with the Office of Information Security to facilitate delivering enterprise security architecture.
This role is an excellent communicator who can translate complex requirements into architecture.
