This position is anticipated to last approximately 6 months.
The Grant Director advances OSU’s values, mission, goals and objectives by building strong, collaborative relationships with diverse communities and organizations throughout Oregon, but particularly in the Portland Metro area.
Reporting to the Director of the Dr.
Lawrence Griggs Office of Black & Indigenous Student Success, the Director is a member of the Educational Opportunities Program team, supporting the academic, personal, and professional development of students who have traditionally been denied equal access to higher education by providing a welcoming environment which includes smaller classes, academic counseling, and innovative programs & services designed to enhance retention and persistence.
The principal focus of the Director role is day-to-day leadership of the Oregon Department of Education’s Black Student Success grant.
The grant is a partnership between OSU, Elevate Oregon and the Parkrose School district to coordinate, align and improve delivery of OSU youth and family engagement, pre-college, and co-curricular academic success programs serving Black students in the Portland Metro area with the goal of creating increasing the number of on-track freshmen, attendance and graduation rates of Black students.
Funding for this position is provided by the Oregon Department of Education through June 30th 2023.

This position is designated as a critical or security-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a criminal history check and be determined to be position qualified as per OSU Standard 576-055-0000 et seq.
Incumbents are required to self-report convictions and those in youth programs may have additional criminal history checks every 24 months.
This position requires driving a university vehicle or a personal vehicle on behalf of the university; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a motor vehicle history check, possess and maintain a current, valid driver’s license in their state of residence, be determined to be position qualified and self-report convictions as per University Policy 05-030.
