Oregon State University’s Office of Global Opportunities (OSU GO) provides study abroad programs and international internships to students seeking academic, professional, cross-cultural, and personal skill development.
OSU operates the IE3 Global program portfolio which serves OSU students and those of the IE3 Global partner universities within the U.
S.
to offer placement and coordination for their students on study abroad and international internship programs.
As Curriculum and Assessment Manager, the position holder will serve as the main collaborator with the OSU academic community of faculty and advisors to build support for international experiential learning.
In order to participate in international education, students need a clear sense of how the work they complete abroad will fit into their US college degrees.
By ensuring that courses taken abroad can be applied towards academic requirements (curriculum integration), the Curriculum and Assessment Manager will enable a diverse range of students to take part in these high impact activities.
The position holder will oversee all aspects of curriculum integration of overseas coursework into the degree programs at OSU and will support transcript articulation of international coursework into student records.
They will develop new courses for international programs options that satisfy degree/core education requirements.
They will be responsible for developing and implementing assessment strategies for the unit and monitoring student compliance with university, state, and federal regulations regarding international education in the curriculum.
The position holder will also oversee a suite of education abroad programs administered by OSU GO on behalf of Oregon State University and partner universities in OSU’s collaborative platform, IE3 Global.
They will manage an overseas employee and OSU GO’s team of peer advisors.
This position reports to the Director of the Office of Global Opportunities.

What We Would Like You to Have Master’s degree in a field related to student academic development in higher education and/or international education.
Previous experience working, studying, or living abroad.
Strong computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets, databases, virtual online communication systems) and strong ability to manipulate data and communicate findings.
Proficiency in a second language, with preference for languages where OSU GO administers study programs.
Previous supervisory experience with students or other employees.
Specific preparation and experience in cross-cultural training.
Familiarity with information management/advising software, e.

Working Conditions / Work Schedule This position is a 12-month appointment located in Corvallis, Oregon and is located on the OSU campus.
Regular hours are (8am-5pm) with expectations for some evening and weekend hours for events and to meet the scheduling needs of overseas colleagues.
There is currently some flexibility to work remotely up to two days/week, but staff members are expected to work in the OSU GO office for at least 3 days/week, and to be available for in-person events.
This position cannot be fully remote.
Infrequent travel may be required for overseas site visits, conferences, and professional meetings.
