Hattie Redmond Women & Gender Center The Hattie Redmond Women & Gender Center (originally the Women’s Center) was created in 1972 at the same time as the Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies (WGSS) Program (originally Women’s Studies) at Oregon State University in response to the deliberate discrimination of women on campus.
This history informs the Center’s strong connection with the current WGSS program and influences its commitment to social justice activism using anti-racist feminist theories as the foundation for working to advance equity and belonging on campus and in society.

25% Administrative Leadership and Resource Management Leads the HRWGCs efforts and initiatives to create tools, promote programs, and increase collaboration and outreach with other student affairs departments, academic colleges, and stakeholders at Oregon State University.
Provides historical context, continuity, and knowledge to support programs that enhance cultural awareness and social justice on campus and in the surrounding community.
Serves as the building manager of the HRWGC including the coordination of center reservations and the implementation of risk management assessments and leads all safety, emergency, and evacuation protocols in alignment with university policies.
Plan, coordinate and implement assessment, evaluation, and strategic planning efforts of the HRWGC.
Works interdependently as a member of the DCE team to support the services and functions of the CRCs and fulfill DCE’s mission.
Serves on DCE standing committee(s) and ad-hoc work groups.

Collaborates with key campus partners including, but not limited to, the Center for Advocacy Prevention and Education (CAPE), President’s Commission on the Status of Women (PCOSW), Counseling & Psychological Services (CAPS), the Family Resource Center and the Basic Needs Center.

What You Will Need Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.

2 or more years of experience in higher education setting with a focus on a combination of the following: academic counseling, student leadership development, student retention strategies, student programming or developing diversity/social justice focused educational programs.
Demonstrated experience with mentoring, advising, and/or supervision of students.
Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and social justice, with a strong understanding of feminist frameworks, identity development theories, and effective student success strategies.
Proven experience in working with diverse feminist communities, considering intersecting dimensions of difference such as race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, and ability.
Demonstrated experience with managing multiple and complex projects.
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage complex situations (e.
g.
crisis management, care work, and bias-related incidents).
Demonstrated experience working in collaboration with a broad range of campus and community stakeholders.
Demonstrated experience implementing strong written and oral communication skills.

Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and social justice, with a strong understanding of feminist frameworks, identity development theories, and effective student success strategies.
Proven experience in working with diverse feminist communities, considering intersecting dimensions of difference such as race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, and ability.
Demonstrated experience with managing multiple and complex projects.
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage complex situations (e.
g.
crisis management, care work, and bias-related incidents).
Demonstrated experience working in collaboration with a broad range of campus and community stakeholders.
Demonstrated experience implementing strong written and oral communication skills.
Demonstrated experience with budget management.
