Provide behind the wheel instruction for students in the Driver Education program.
Requires record keeping and coordination with classroom instructors for student activities and Program Coordinator.
Required Qualifications:
Oregon driver’s license and current CPR/First Aid certification.
Traffic safety education that has included defensive driver training such as bus driver, police training, and or/obtain/maintain Oregon Department of Transportation Training certificate.
Requires successful completion of a background screening including criminal history, as a condition of employment.
The college will conduct background screening on those not previously screened.
Preferred Qualifications: Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Must be able to travel to any LBCC center in Albany, Corvallis, Lebanon and Sweet Home.
Essential Duties:
Using approved course content and methods, instruct drivers in behind the wheel component of Driver Education program in one or more of the following communities: Albany, Corvallis, Lebanon, Sweet Home.
Coordinate student behind the wheel schedules with classroom instructors and Program Coordinator.
Promote a safe and effective learning environment which contributes to each student’s success.
Complete a visual inspection of the vehicle and report any concerns immediately to the program coordinator.
Maintain records as directed including student attendance.
Attend required continuing education conferences and/or workshops for Driver Education program.
Attend department meetings as scheduled.
