As we expand our technical team, we're seeking a skilled *Cloud/Backend/DevOps Engineer* to play a pivotal role in developing web-based solutions for data sharing and visualization.
*Role Overview* As a Cloud/Backend/DevOps Engineer at AeroTract, you'll be at the heart of our technical operations, designing, developing, and maintaining the infrastructure and backend systems that power our data visualization services.
This role is ideal for a self-motivated individual with a knack for self-management and a passion for taking full ownership of projects from conception to deployment.
*Key Responsibilities* * Design and implement cloud-based architectures for scalable and secure data handling and storage.
* Develop and maintain backend services and APIs to support web-based data visualization applications.
* Manage CI/CD pipelines for efficient deployment and scaling of applications.
* Ensure high performance and responsiveness of applications across all cloud services.
* Collaborate with UI/UX teams to integrate front-end elements with server-side logic.
* Implement security and data protection measures.
* Provide technical support and troubleshooting for cloud and backend issues.
* Communicate complex technical details to non-technical stakeholders.
*Skills and Qualifications* * Backend Development: * Python with Flask/FastAPI/Django: For backend services and API development.
* Cloud Storage: * AWS S3: Object storage and data tiering.
* AWS RDS & SQL Databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL): Database management.
* Cloud Computing: * AWS Lambda: Serverless application execution.
* AWS Step Functions & Batch: Workflow and batch processing management * User Management and Content Delivery: * AWS Cognito: User authentication and management.
* AWS CloudFront: Web content delivery optimization.
*Skills and Qualifications (continued)* * Hosting and Infrastructure: * EC2, Elastic Beanstalk, Lightsail: Web hosting on AWS.
* AWS CDK & Terraform: Infrastructure as code for resource management.
* Containerization and Orchestration: * Docker: Application containerization.
* Kubernetes or Amazon ECS: Container orchestration.
* Monitoring and Security: * Amazon CloudWatch: System and application monitoring.
* ELK Stack & Prometheus with Grafana: Performance analysis and insights.
* AWS WAF & AWS Secrets Manager: Security and sensitive data protection.
