*Full Stack Developer Opportunity at AeroTract* *About AeroTract:* AeroTract is a commercial drone service and machine learning company based in Albany, Oregon, offering innovative resource management solutions across various sectors.
We are currently seeking a Full Stack Developer to join our growing team and contribute to our mission of leveraging technology for better resource management.
*Key Responsibilities and Projects:* In this role, you will be tasked with a range of projects that are critical to the success of our operations and the value we deliver to our clients.
Key projects include: ● Design and Implementation of Database Systems and APIs: You will design robust database systems tailored to our unique data needs, developing and integrating APIs to interact with these systems efficiently.
This involves understanding our data structure, ensuring security, and optimizing for performance and scalability.
● Dashboard/Website Development: Collaboratively design and implement responsive frontend dashboards and websites, ensuring seamless integration with backend systems and optimizing for fault tolerance and user engagement.
● Automating Workflows: In collaboration with our operations team, you will be involved in deploying and managing the automation of workflows (GIS tasks, data management, etc).
While you will often receive help developing the actual automation script/toolkit, your main responsibility will be to ensure these scripts are effectively integrated and operational within our systems, whether through APIs, dashboards, or web platforms.
● Service Maintenance and Enhancement: You will play a crucial role in the ongoing maintenance and improvement of our existing services.
This involves troubleshooting, updating, and refining our software solutions to ensure they continue to meet our needs and standards for quality and reliability.
*Qualifications*: ● Proven experience in full-stack development, from design to deployment, supported by a portfolio ● Proficiency using Python for backend and frontend development (Flask, PyQT) ● Proficiency in JavaScript (ReactJS, Vanilla JS) ● Experience with SQL ● Familiarity with Linux environments ● Project management skills - ability to take feedback, communicate, and project plan independently *Desirable Skills:* ● DevOps experience (managing orchestration of multiple deployments) ● GIS experience (QGIS, python-qgis, GeoPandas, rasterio, laspy) ● Strong attention to detail and critical thinking *Position Details:* ● Competitive hourly rate, commensurate with experience.
● Part-time/project-based contract with potential for long-term engagement.
● On-site role in Albany, Oregon, with company-provided hardware.

Rather than expecting "real" running code, we'll look for you to draft a high-level design skeleton or whiteboard your approach.
● Final Discussion: In this concluding session, you’ll have the opportunity to ask any remaining questions you may have.
