Essential Functions JOB FUNCTIONS Transmission and Substation Projects: Assist in the management of transmission, substation & distribution projects.
Design and specification preparation.
Bidding and Constructions.
Ensure Compliance with Quality Assurance/Quality Control to maintain the quality of project deliverables.
Manages and inspects work of contractors.
Prepares field layouts, work authorizations and project estimates.
Inspects and inventories completed projects.
Assist in overseeing and maintaining the 24/7 SCADA System.
Regularly monitor and verify SCADA system and confirm the actual Analog & Digital status(s) of equipment in the substation HMI to ensure that accuracy of the transmission & distribution system is maintained.
Assist in the evaluation of the SCADA system performance to make recommendations for improvements to the user interface and system performance and to help resolve operational problems.
Read and interpret plans, schematics, and documentation related to maintaining SCADA and make necessary updates to ensure GIS system integrity.
Create reports and update maintenance records for all work performed on the SCADA system.
Coordinate with the districts Operations Department in support of SCADA as required.
Generate, edit, update, and verify SCADA sites in an AutoCAD database.
Update, investigate, test, resolve, calibrate, and troubleshoot SCADA applications at SCADA sites.
Field inspection of SCADA related to construction activity.
Prepare and conduct training sessions as applicable for new and existing staff as it pertains to the SCADA System.
Reproduce various engineering records and reports.
Perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned Participate in work process improvement efforts primarily as a member of interdisciplinary work teams.
SCADA graphical design and database work.
Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) Real Time Automating Controller (RTAC) programming and troubleshooting.

Exercise proper safety practices regarding data radios, batteries, electrical circuits, and other equipment used in SCADA.
Read and interpret maps and public works engineering / construction drawings.
Work with GIS maps and ensure SCADA sites are properly marked and maintained Review and prepare, either "manually" or with AutoCAD, engineering plans, drawings, site plans, maps, electrical diagrams / schematics, and sketches Minimum Qualifications and Progression Minimum Education Level Associate degree Specifics: AutoCAD or other drafting.

Desirable Qualifications: Experience working with SCADA software specifically Survalent.
AutoCAD experience.
WORKING CONDITIONS Job Conditions: Work is performed in both office and field environments: Work in the office environment is sedentary in nature, requiring ability to process oral communication and the ability to enter and read information on a computer.
Work in the field environment may require bending, climbing, crawling, stretching, pulling, pushing, standing, twisting, and walking over uneven ground.
There is a common exposure to dust, pollen, traffic, and fumes.
Fieldwork may be performed in adverse weather conditions such as snow, rain, wind, flooding, summer heat, etc.
When in the field, a significant amount of driving is required.
