JOB DESCRIPTION
Under the guidance of the administrator and working directly with the lead teacher, provide quality education and care for each child in a classroom setting.
Create and build relationships with children, families, and fellow team members.
HOURS/PAY
L Monday – Friday 8:00am-3:00pm
L National holidays off.
L Competitive starting hourly wage
DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
L Aid lead teacher in supervision of children
L Provide care, guidance, and developmental experiences, meeting the appropriate educational and emotional needs of the children.
L Cleaning and sanitation daily with support of lead teacher.
L Supporting lead teacher with curriculum preparation.
L Attend monthly staff meetings and quarterly trainings.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
L Age: 18 and above.
L Education Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.
L Experience Desired: At least 1 year working with children 3-5.
B Ability to show knowledge of positive reinforcement, positive redirection and knowledge of age-appropriate activities and behaviors.
L Licenses and Other Requirements:
B Valid Oregon Driver’s License.
B Valid first aid/cpr credentials.
B Valid food handlers’ card.
B Be entered into Central Background Registry with cleared or pending status.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
L Indoor classroom environment with some outdoor environment based on need.
L Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a variety of materials.
L Verbal, auditory, and written capabilities to effectively communicate in an articulate manner.
L Sitting and standing for extended periods of time.
L Bending to clean surfaces.
L Pushing, moving, lifting the weight of preschool aged children.
L Reaching overhead, above the shoulders and horizontally, to retrieve materials and supplies.
L Vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and cleaning of tables.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15.

Expected hours: 35 per week
Schedule:
* 4 hour shift
* 8 hour shift
* Day shift
* No nights
* No weekends
