Selling my 2008 Dodge Sprinter.
Much as I hate to sell this rig, my wife and I haven’t been using it enough since purchasing our home to justify keeping it around.
The Van spent the first part of it’s life as a Fedex Delivery Van up in Marysville, Washington before we got the vehicle and built it out.
First, this is a high-mileage van at 357,279 but if you know anything about sprinters, you known it has a lot of miles left.
Additionally, this van is on it’s second engine which we believe was replace about 200k ago.
I have taken good care of the van with regular service intervals and to a qualified Mercedes Mechanic whenever issues cropped up.
One other noteworthy thing is that this is the very reliable OM642 3.
0L V6 Diesel engine WITHOUT the DEF system that was implemented in 2010 making this setup more dependable.
The van is 2wd but with studded tires and a couple sand bags in the back, it has taken us everywhere we want to go through the winter months.
The camper build was done by myself, and while it is a
simple/home-made build, I think it has everything you need and certainly presents a lot of options if you want to add/subtract from the build to make it your own.
You can see from the components listed below it was built with high quality materials.
With that in mind, I do want to point out that the vehicle has its quirks and I want to put those out there for consideration by anyone who is interested in the van.
The locks on the front doors are finicky and require manually pushing down to lock.
The key-fob (and there is only one key) does not work, must use the key to access which is only on driver’s side.
There are several surface rust spots that probably need to be dealt with soon (these are all pictured).
The sound system is not great (one speaker blown).
Rear backup camera but no screen.
It is a high mileage rig with the usual rattles and squeaks you would expect, but nonetheless is a solid van with a lot of work done on it to get you out camping in cool places all year around.
Open to reasonable offers, cash or check (Will wait until check clears to turn over vehicle) but in no rush to sell.
Clean title in hand, sold as-is.
Let me know if you have any questions, serious inquiries only please 😊
