Rudge-Whitworth Roadster England (1940s?)
Rudge-Whitworth Roadster, made in England.
My best guess after some research is this is probably from the early 1940s.
This looks to be mostly original with some tire upgrades and possibly the 3-speed switch.
A bit of rust here, but overall in really great condition given its age.
This thing weighs a metric ton and has absolutely bonkers rod-pull brakes.
There is light in the front that worked at some point in 1945.
Measures about 22"/56cm.
I'm 5'9" and standover is fine for me.
I have rode this several times and put on some new brake pads, but generally this thing tells you how to ride vs.
the other way around.
Perfect for solving Father Brown crimes along the English countryside.
I wouldn't use this in traffic or in the rain unless you actually are Father Brown.
