50 (Portland Metro) Position Summary This recruitment will be used to fill one part-time (24 hours per week) Career Assistant for Data and Operations position for the Career Development Center at Oregon State University (OSU).
This position supports the Director of Operations in overseeing the daily support of operations and data analytics within the Career Development Center.
In this role, you will aid in collecting, analyzing, and presenting engagement and career placement data and provide a high level of service to the staff of the Career Development Center and its partners.
In general, this position will be cross-trained in multiple areas to support students and staff of the Career Development Center and will have responsibilities that may include: Data organization, analysis, and report creation Student and staff outreach Event support Daily operation support other duties/special projects, as assigned You will be provided supplemental projects in addition to these standard responsibilities as your knowledge of the Career Development Center grows.
You can expect to develop skills in data analysis and reporting, operations and facilities management, customer service, communication, and process improvement.
Position Duties Assessment and Reporting Assessment and Reporting Under the direction of the Director of Operations, support the planning and implementation of assessment activities within the Career Development Center.
Manage and report Career Development Center event engagement and participation data in partnership with the Director of Operations.
As needed, assist the External Relations and/or Career Education team in collecting, managing, and reporting participation data.
Create reports and visualizations that assist the Career Development Center leadership team in decision making.
Assist the Director of Operations in the collection and organization of First Destination Survey data for the university.
Plan and implement scheduled outreach campaigns to students and staff.
Assist the Director of Operations in completing the Career Development Center annual report.
Operations Manage and audit assets, including the basement storage room, break room, and meeting spaces.
Support Career Development Center staff in completing administrative tasks that support the mission of the Center.
Perform benchmarking tasks as directed by the Director of Operations.
Utilize CDC online systems to provide assistance with system navigation and troubleshooting.
Maintains the confidentiality of records as stipulated in FERPA.
Help to create an inclusive and welcoming environment for all visitors to the Career Development Center, both virtually and in person.
Assist walk-ins, phone calls, and emails regarding general CDC questions.
Assist in hiring and training of new student employees, as needed.
